Join the Queensland Teachers’ Union as our Administration Officer – Communications! Are you a detail-oriented professional with strong administrative skills and a passion for Queensland public sector education? The Queensland Teachers’ Union (QTU) is seeking an Administration Officer to support our dynamic Communications Team.

The Role

As our Administration Officer – Communications, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting our team’s efforts to develop and deliver impactful messages across multiple channels. You’ll work closely with the Communications Coordinator and team members to ensure smooth operations and effective project management.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage communication requests and task assignments.
Maintain a well-organised communications information/document repository.
Coordinate marketing collateral and campaign materials.
Develop reports, meeting agendas and minutes.
Support the Communications Coordinator with administrative tasks.
Assist with member communications and website maintenance as required.
Proofread and edit communication content.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • Strong administrative and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, reactive environment.
  • A relevant qualification in administration, project management, or communications is preferred but not essential.
