IEUA-QNT is a union representing over 16,000 teacher, school officer and services staff members in non-government education institutions throughout Queensland and the Northern Territory.

Applications are sought for the following full-time, continuing position – Organiser.

THE DUTIES OF THIS FULL-TIME, CONTINUING POSITION INCLUDE:

• recruiting and encouraging member activism
• developing workplace strategies in conjunction with members
• conducting training courses
• representing union members in negotiations
• providing advice and support for union members

The position will be based in the Spring Hill office and the Organiser will support members and worksites in Metropolitan Branches and parts of nearby branches.

An education background and recent experience in schools will be favourably considered.

Applicants should have effective reporting and communication skills.

Training will be provided to the successful candidate.

A salary package dependent on qualifications and experience will be determined.

Excellent working conditions in accordance with the IEUA-QNT Officer Collective Agreement 2021.
