Together Queensland branch of the ASU is a union with approximately 30,000 members employed in the Queensland Public Sector, Queensland Health, and a wide variety of private sector industries and employers throughout Queensland.

Are you passionate about making a difference in the workplace and advocating for employee rights? We have an exciting opportunity for you to become an essential part of our industrial team as an Industrial Support Officer. In this role, you will be at the forefront of triaging incoming contact from our members.

Successful candidates will have a keen interest in progressing both worker and civil rights in Queensland and are skilled at being able to quickly build rapport with people via various digital mediums, including persuasive conversations.

Throughout the Traineeship, participants will receive comprehensive on-the-job training, personalised mentoring, and targeted professional development, enabling them to cultivate and enhance their industrial skills while also unlocking opportunities to progress within the union.

The duration of the Traineeship is two years.

The successful candidate will join Together as an A03 and be remunerated at that level ($2,896.85 per fortnight or pro rata equivalent), noting that upon successful completion of the competency requirements for Year 1 will be progressed to A04 for Year 2 ($3425.58 per fortnight or pro rata equivalent). Upon successful completion of the traineeship, you will progress to a permanent Industrial Officer role at AO5-1 ($3969.74 per fortnight or pro rata equivalent).
